The item shop is very reasonable, the client has received multiple optimizations, the population is fantastic (a little lower right now as people dip their toes in classic), and there's tons of stuff to do. a new dungeon was released in February, new endgame trials, and new means of gear progression are added frequently) has been developed by the private server team. Content has been adopted and translated from the overseas client, and entirely new content (eg. On top of this, the private server's owners have raised the level cap to 120, and have adjusted the exp rates from killing mobs accordingly. This means that instead of there being only a handful of classes to select and unlock, there are now 20 base classes, each with two unlocked awakened versions - bringing the playable class count to 60! And you can level them all and switch between them to your heart's content. The content that was initially controversial has apparently been adamantly balanced to the point where every class, and every awakened variant, is viable. Having now played on both, and spoken with a much larger pool of players on both the Awaken server and the Classic server, I would highly encourage anyone on the hunt for a solid anime mmorpg to check out the Awaken server.
Initially, from the couple people I'd spoken to, I'd heard that this was for the best. As anyone who saw the post or checked out the link would already know, the server has trimmed content and reduced rates to be more in line with the classic experience.
